That rectangular box is a millenial now. No wonder we hate it.

In 1994, five designers were assigned the ignominious task of designing the world’s first banner ad, a design journey detailed over at Fast Company here. 20 years later, they’re not an experiment for an agencies top designers to slave over. Now, any kid could very well at work as a low-level ad agency intern, cranking them out by the dozen.
